Government PDF Print E-mail

There are many governments that can support human rights/development work. Some of these governments have a range of priority countries and priority areas that they support. Generally these governments channel their funding through international NGOs based in their own countries. However it is sometimes possible to receive support from them.

Here are the basic steps you need to take:

1. Find out which of these donor governments have embassies in your country/or location of your project.

2. Find out who is responsible for “development cooperation” in that embassy; if the embassy has a special budget to support local projects; and the procedure for application.

3. Follow-up on step 2.
